We are pleased to share the news with our residents and voters that through the efforts of many folks behind the scenes, we are now completing the $3,289,000 energy performance contract and lease that will give the Seaford District new efficient lighting in all buildings, new fuel efficient burners for all boilers, and new windows at one of our elementary schools. The energy savings from installing these items will pay the lease, so the taxpayers will not have to shoulder the burden of the cost of these upgrades.
One of the keys to the success of this venture was the experience and professionalism of the entire Municipal Leasing Consultants team from Grand Isle, VT. They analyzed the capital needs, prepared bid paperwork, secured extremely favorable finance rate quotes, and worked closely with our attorney to draft and complete the many documents necessary to complete the financing. They were ahead of schedule on all the activities, so there was no waiting for financing to catch up with the project word to be paid. It all happened seamlessly.
