$4M in EECBG funding has been designated for energy efficiency projects at municipal facilities. Planned projects include lighting retrofits, mechanical equipment replacements and heating, ventilation and air conditioning controls adjustments at over 50 municipal facilities by December 2012. In the overall municipal bond market, 2010's $2.8 billion in defaults amounted to about .09 percent of the total outstanding. Meanwhile corporate bond defaults range from about 3 percent in good times to as high as 12 percent in bad times." More details >
Leasing now a standard tool: According to Carolyn "Charlie" McNeil of 1st Source Bank, Fort Wayne, IA, "a municipal lease purchase appears to be the right financial tool with flexibility, low cost, minimal time and hassle, to use with a planned fleet management program."
New propane conversions available for fleets! Alliance AutoGas, through conversion equipment provider and cofounding partner American Alternative Fuel, is now EPA-certified to convert more than 200 vehicle types to propane autogas utilizing the Prins System. New certifications include the latest model years for the popular Ford Crown Victoria and E-series vans, and additional certifications for several medium duty GM platforms. With more than 200 eligible vehicles, this is the largest privately financed portfolio of autogas vehicle certifications in the U.S. More details >
